My work has always been preoccupied with the conflict between external conformity and internal freedom. ‚Elara’s Whisper‘ is a direct confrontation with this theme, translating a psychological state of rebellion into a visual language.

The figure of Elara is positioned within a deliberately constructed dystopian shell—a world drained of colour and life, symbolized by the surveillance cameras and the sterile grey of her surroundings and clothing. She represents the individual spirit subjugated by an overwhelming system.

She lives in 2052 and she is suffering from the „Silent Apocalypse“ that has drowned the world in this time.

However, the silence of this control is broken by an irresistible internal eruption. The vibrant chromatic streams that fragment her image are, in essence, her thoughts—her vibrant memories, her defiant dreams, and her unyielding inner landscape—finally bursting forth. This is the ‚Whisper‘ of the title: a quiet yet powerful intellectual dissent.

The red lipstick serves as the critical anchor—it is the only intentional, physical splash of colour in this bleak reality, a small, visible act of resistance that precedes the explosive mental liberation.

Through this piece, I aim to explore the resilience of the human psyche. Even when the outer world is suffocatingly grey, the richness of the inner world persists. ‚Elara’s Whisper‘ is a meditation on how we use our imagination and our innermost convictions to defy control and reclaim our personal spectrum of existence.

THE QUIET RESIGNATION IN THE GAZE OF THE EYES.

THE IDEA OF 2052 WAS BORN.
WITH EVERY FIERCE BRUSHSTROKE THE ATMOSPHERE OF UNCERTAINTY IS AMPLIFIED, THAT SUBTILE
DYSTOPIA SEEPING INTO EVERYDAYS LIFE.
WHAT REMAINS OF US WHEN THE BOUNDARIES BETWEEN THE NATRUAL AND THE CONSTRUCTED BLUR?
THE ABSENCE OF COLOR AND THE ALMOST UNREAL LIGHTNING ARE MY WAY OF EXPRESSING THE INNER
EMPTINESS AND ALIENATION I FORSEE IN A POTENTIAL FUTURE.
THIS PORTRAIT IS A MEMORIAL AND A REFLECTION ON THE FRAGILE NATURE OF OUR EXISTENCE, A
GLIMPSE INTO A FUTURE WHOSE CONTOURS ARE STILL BLURRED BUT WHOSE EMOTIONS ARE ALREADY
PALPABLE.

This time I combined my synesthetical sensations of the great songs of Paul Kalkbrenner Kabelmann 1, with the emotions I had during reading the
book “Die Abschaffung Des Todes” (Andreas Eschbach).

Both themes, the feelings the book gave me, as well as the emotions and visions I had in mind with the Song “ Kabelmann 1&2” matched when I closed my eyes and envisioned the concept.
My first creative step is intuitive and driven by my emotions while listening to the sound. The music guides me, almost like a dance on canvas.
Consecutively I step one step back and condense all thoughts that arise during the end of the previous part. In this phase, I plan details and choose symbols and objects (like the pipes, the glass eye and the LED strips) that express my rational side.

The dark atmosphere from the song as well as the topic of the book is brought to light with black and deep red colors.
Twisted pipes that seem to penetrate the canvas leave a disturbing feeling behind.

One can sense a hidden layer behind the canvas that could lay in a
digital unrevealed world.

Is this undisclosed world a good one and worth to explore?
Will we ever find out?
Do we even dare?
